WILDLIFE celebrate the

power and grace of the

natural world

There's something primal about sculpting animals. Unlike portrait work, where I seek to capture individual personality, my wildlife sculptures explore the archetypal—the essence of "wolf," the pure expression of "lion," the timeless dignity of "gorilla." I'm drawn to predators and apex species—creatures that embody strength, intelligence, and survival. The technical challenge is immense: animal anatomy differs dramatically from human form, requiring deep study of musculature, movement, and proportion. A gorilla's massive shoulders, a lion's explosive jaw structure, the precise alertness of a wolf's ears—every detail matters. The finishing process brings these sculptures to life. Bronze-B applications create surfaces that catch light like real bronze, while carefully applied patinas add depth and age. The verdigris effects—those characteristic greens and blues—suggest weathered monuments to nature's power, pieces that could have stood in ancient temples or modern museums. Each sculpture is a meditation on wildness, a reminder of what we share this planet with, and a celebration of forms that evolved over millennia to perfection. ________________________________________
